Ok peoples. Here is where you can show off your skills in art, creation of any kinds.
Overall. Adhere to the forum rules themself. Please do not post blatent porn , or anything that is generally offensive. Though sometimes artists skirt this line to convey what they are trying to get across, if you do post art that does skirt that line, it will be reviewed and decided whether it is ok to leave up or deleted by discretion. Please bear that in mind if you post it up here. I am not here to douse creativity, I just need to keep in mind the general audience.
So far there are two sections to post in:
[glow=orange,2,300]Fan's Multimedia Section:[/glow] Here you can post anything you created, or someone else's creation you'd like someone to see. Whether it be art, movie, animation, music you want people to hear etc. People should post their art here just for people to comment on but not want to be SERIOUSLY critiqued. Just posting for the joy of letting other people see what they can do and did. But people can comment yay or nay on something but just leave the heavy critiquing to the other board because people who post there want that.
[glow=orange,2,300]Artist's Gallery:[/glow] I had enjoyed posting on other forums that did just this specific thing. You post art up and let other artists, or serious critiquers give you kudos or suggestions and helpful hints to further ones skills. I imagine there are other artists that read WhoGirl that could help a lot of of artists.
[glow=orange,2,300]For the artist:[/glow] Post here if you seriously want someone to critique you and help you on your art. Because if you post here that is what will happen here. I have seen on existing boards someone put their art up, and take it personally when people start critiquing it, and it turned out all they were fishing for is kudos and get angry. Sometimes you will just get kudos and everyone will like it, and sometimes people will give suggestions because they see how it would be better in their eyes. I have always said 'If someone doesn't ever want their art critiqued, draw it then lock it in a vault so no one can see if but you.' So please realize as a artist what this section is for.
[glow=orange,2,300] For the poster on BOTH boards.[/glow] You know about flaming. No need for it. You can give your opinions on both forums but realize please, leave the heavy critiquing to Artist's Gallery. And if you do, remember, use 'contructive criticism'. Of course this means suggestions that help the person become a better artist, not demean them for fun.
But there you go. Hope you will post some of your stuff and have fun doing it. ;D
