Ever notice how anime tipically has a specific episode just as a recap of the story thus far? Manga - tipically will do a page or two. I think it is because in an anime, you're supposed to be watching one ep a day, or even once a week. In a manga, you can read a whole book in a few nights....I try to spread it out so it at least lasts a week.
Also, you can alaways flip back to something in a manga. If you're watching an anime on tv.. - you would have to wait a for the episodes to start over again...:\ And if you're like me, and like to watch episodes back to back X3 - you don't wanna go in reverse.
I've heard people say though, that anime does this for other reasons. Soooo. Letcha voices be heard, whogirl obsessees.

....
*flashback* Final watchs Naruto, falls into tears when he realizes it's a stupid recap episode. *end flashback*
As you can tell from the flashback above, flashback episodes are the bane of existence. It's annoying to have to rewatch all the same scenes from previous episodes all bunched up in one FULL episode...can't they do it like in the other animes? Just sacrifice the first 5 minutes in a painful recap every once in a while...
The reason I hate this is because I only get to watch that specific show (unless I go to Youtube of course, but I have better things for my connection to handle...) once a week. So I don't want to have to go through waiting a whole other week to see the rest of the darn story! Especially when I consider the fact that series that do have recaps, tend to be the longer ones...I'll never get through the episodes at this rate...
