So has anyone read this awesome manga from the creator of Love Hina?
I love the new and improved drawing style Akamatsu adopts around the third book. A nice upgrade.
That and the action (and the comedy) kicks total ass!

Hmm, it's about a ten year old boy called Negi Springfield whom just graduated from mage school and who is sent to Japan to teach english in an all girl's school for a class of 31 lovely ladies. Comedy and chaos insues as the young teacher tries and comes to grips with his new position as teacher to girl's who would all rather hug and toy with him (he's younger than any of them) while trying to keep his magic a secret (which he does a really crappy job at since he gets found out by one of the characters on the first day).
The manga itself is pretty well paced, and much like the rest of the author's work has a lot of umm...provative situations for it's main character(read: fanservice). But unlike Love Hina, since the kid is only 10 most of the girl's in the class just look at him like a sort of cute plaything. Also, the boy himself isn't perverted or anything, he seems to be too young and well mannered to look at his students like that (who are all around 12 to 17 amusingly enough).
What's interesting about the book is the magical portions that come forth and become more and more dominant as the story goes along, leading to battles with the main character and opposing forces (not all necessarily bad, some are just stubborn). Negi must eventually learn to become stronger and must join forces with some of his students to form partner contracts, allowing him and a choice few from his class to become a team during battle.
Surprisingly enough, i'm at the 10th book and the author has done a pretty good job of making nearly all of the 31 girls pretty memorable (so far there are only 2 girls that aren't given a proper introduction yet, I was surprised because I was sure the series would just ignore alot of them so we wouldn't get lost easely, but I can recognize each and every one of them pretty easely now).
All in all, it's a great series. I place it at the top of the best manga series I've ever read up there with Chobits.

The story sounds like one I read the back of. Hmm mm, yeah I think I had that one in my hand. I may check it out some day. Thanks for the info

From what I've heard, the anime is trash compared to the manga.
I haven't actually seen the anime, but from what I read in summaries...read the manga to judge the series, never use the anime for that.
