Did anyone watch the anime Big O? He looks like the pointy-headed guy who piloted Big Duo... I forget his name...

Now that there is a little more detail revealed, he looks like a joker for some reason.

In reply to the sidebar comments today (Feb 14) the title of the book was most likely Struwwelpeter. Amazon has several editions, including: Struwwelpeter: Fearful Stories & Vile Pictures to Instruct Good Little Folks I guess this was considered good instruction in the past. - headcayce

Hey thanks Headcayce! Wow. I didn't think I would ever see the book again. Went to Amazon and sure enough there was the cover that caught my eye when I was 6. A boy standing there with over grown hair and his nail growing out like a foot long. Back then that image was very fearful looking to me.
I guess at one time parents thought it was easier to scare discipline into a child. And I know they are still used today. I remember a Japanese girl came to the US for a visit. She got scared when she saw people drinking Coke. Apparently her mother said drinking Coke would melt your bones. In order to make sure she ate healthy. I remember my grandmother would say 'Never sing at the table or you will choke to death.'. In order to stop what she believed was a bad habit.
