These are interesting developments. Easily described as evil. I hope that there is more than greed fueling this, though.
Basically, I would enjoy it much if Rice, Who Girl, or whoever are not motivated by just "doing good" or "getting money". That is, they have some self-driving motivations which could be somewhat/partially comprehended. Getting close to the border of good and not makes me think about myself. Making a choice between two good events or two bad events is troubling, especially if you get time to think about it.
Though, this isn't my party! Just my two cents...
I'm curious to see the coat collar belt (page 38/39) fastened at some point. I could see myself cosplaying that, but it's not TOO distinctive- as in: a person reading this may not automatically infer someone with a belt in their coat collar as a WhoGirl character. Maybe we'll see something later that's usable...

Ah kudos to you Zop. ;D I had wondered if anyone else noticed the function of the straps. I noticed the buckle and strap after I drew it and put it up on the web. I noticed the buckle wouldnt function correctly in real life, because the buckle needed to be on the end. I could blow of your observations with a suspension of disbelief kind of explanation. But truthfully, I drew the coats so that they would actualy be something that could function with realistic means. The high collars and huge leather straps. And yes, I wanted the straps to function too for later purposes in the story. But after drawing them and putting the first pages up, I realized that they would not function with the design and placement of the buckle. I painted myself in a corner with that. So now they ended up being something that would be just purely decorative in real life. Much like that little extra pocket within the hip pockets of blue jeans, that once was used for carrying pocket watches, I believe. But they arent really useful for anything now. But it is pretty cool to see someone looking at little details like that, because i do the same. So I TRY to keep things within a workable means. And of course you can see things that are suppose to be chalked up to suspension of disbelief. I have been thinking of changing the coats for a more realistic workable look. Since I had intended that in design. And I am into how the human mind works and like to express this in my stories. So some people in the story will be motivated by basic reasons, and others more complicated reasons. Stick around and see more of the story and see where its going and glad to have you here Zop.

Hold the kudos, because, amusingly enough, I didn't notice that the belts were already buckled while being open until the current page (40).
I'm glad to hear you're working on things better than I thought it should be (simple AND otherwise). Looks like we're in for a ride!
